Two City of Tampere use cases, Use Case 1 “Public Art on the Map” and Use Case 3 “Cathedral 1918 – Civil war storytelling”, have started collaboration with Sointu Senioripalvelut (https://sointusenioripalvelut.fi/).
Sointu Senioripalvelut is a company providing housing and well-being services for senior citizens in Tampere. Sointu operates four service centres: Kuusela, Taatala, Kaukaharju and Keinupuisto. The first of these, Kuusela Centre, was established in the Härmälä district of Tampere already in 1990.
In October and November, both use cases will arrange four events – one in each Sointu’s site – consisting of use case presentations and discussions with the seniors. The results will be reported later, so stay tuned for more updates!

In Use Case 1, citizens and visitors can unlock the history of iconic public artwork through a map-based mobile application. A new coordination model for public art projects will also be designed.
In Use Case 3, Museum Centre Vapriikki’s 1918 Civil War themed virtual exhibition (www.tampere1918.fi/en) will be extended with the role of Tampere Cathedral. The cathedral and its surrounding areas will be 3D modelled, and scenes depicting the stories of the refugees will be filmed with live actors.
